Ticket sales Everything you need to know about ordering tickets How to book tickets Online Booking tickets is a breeze through operaballet.nl/en. Payment options include iDeal or credit card (VISA, Mastercard and American Express). You can also use the Podium Cadeaukaart or the Dutch National Opera & Ballet gift card. After a successful transaction, you will receive a confirmation on your screen. This, along with your e-ticket(s), will be sent automatically to your e-mail. If you don’t receive the confirmation e-mail, please check your ‘spam’ folder. Should it still be missing, feel free to contact our customer service by phone at 020 625 5455 or e-mail at klantenservice@operaballet.nl. TIP: save paper, save time. E-tickets can be easily scanned at the theatre using your smartphone. By phone If you prefer, you can also order your tickets by calling our customer service team on 020 625 5455. Once you’ve selected your performances and seat, you will receive a payment link via e-mail to finalise your order. As soon as the payment is processed, confirmation of your payment and your tickets will be delivered to your e-mail inbox. Dynamic prices Our ticketing system uses dynamic pricing. This means that tickets for popular performances may increase in price as the performance date approaches and more tickets are sold. Discounted tickets If you are younger than 17 or possess a CJP pass or Stadspas Amsterdam with a green dot, you can benefit from discounted rates when visiting Dutch National Opera & Ballet! We also offer special promotions for students and individuals aged 36 and under. Find out more on page 116. Booking fees Both online and phone orders include a booking fee of € 2 per ticket, with a maximum of € 20. Exchange service Did your plans change and you can’t attend on your chosen date anymore? You’re welcome to exchange your tickets for a different date (€3 exchange fee per ticket), or to sell them by posting an advertisement through our exchange service: operaballet.nl/en/ticket-exchange Please note: our dynamic pricing system may result in higher ticket prices at the time of exchange compared to your original purchase. Ticket exchange is possible up until the day before your original performance. Sold out? What next? If the performance you’d like to see is sold out and you couldn’t get a ticket, keep an eye on our exchange service at operaballet.nl/en/ticket-exchange. Alternatively, starting one hour before the performance, queue numbers are available at the box office. Unclaimed tickets will be sold based on these queue numbers, starting half an hour before the show begins, with a maximum of two tickets available per person. You can add your name to the waiting list for this service by sending an e-mail to klantenservice@operaballet.nl. Tours Tickets for performances at locations other than Dutch National Opera & Ballet can be purchased directly from the hosting theatre. Make a note in your calendar for the start of ticket sales and secure the best seats for your favourite performances! Ticket sales There are two ways you can secure tickets for our performances: during the series sale for season packages and then later during the sale of single tickets. Season packages During the series sale for season packages (from the 11th to 24th April), you can book multiple performances for the entire season in one go. This can be done through our website or by contacting our customer service (phone: 020 625 5455 or e-mail: klantenservice@operaballet.nl). You will find more information about season packages on page 10 and at operaballet.nl/en/season-package Do you belong to one of our priority groups (subscription holders with reserved seating, prior-season season package holders, Patrons, Golden Friends or Friends)? Then check the card that accompanies the season’s brochure you received in the mail. Here, we have given you an exclusive ordering moment. Single ticket sales The remainder of the tickets (we call these ‘single tickets’) for performances in the new season commence after the series sale has finished. Single tickets are released in two stages. On 7 May, tickets for performances during the first-half of the season (until December) become available. On 22 August, tickets for performances in the second half of the season are released for sale. 154 Info
