House rules Ensuring that everyone feels comfortable at Dutch National Opera & Ballet is important to us. To achieve this, we have established a set of house rules and visitor conditions. You can find these rules on operaballet.nl/en/house-rules Wheelchair users Our theatre is well-equipped to accommodate wheelchair users. You will find facilities such as an adapted lift and an accessible toilet. For both Main Stage and Studio Boekman performances, space is reserved for wheelchair users and their companions. Main Stage seats also feature a screen for potential subtitles. Wheelchair seats can be booked by phone through our customer service: 020 625 5455. Hearing loop For visitors with hearing impairments attending performances in on the Main Stage, a hearing loop is available. You can find information about where in the hall you can receive the signal at operaballet.nl/en/accessibility. There is no hearing loop in Studio Boekman. Cloakroom At both the Main Stage and Studio Boekman, you will find a complimentary cloakroom. We kindly request that you use it for your coats, bags and other (hand) luggage. For safety reasons, bringing these items into the auditorium is not allowed. Food and drinks Before and after performances on the Main Stage and during intermissions, you can visit one of the bars in the foyer for various refreshments. For performances on the Main Stage it is also possible to pre-order your drinks. This can be done easily online at operaballet.nl/en/food-and-drinks. This way, you can avoid standing in line and help us reduce waste. We also warmly welcome you to our new Theatre Café, located next to Studio Boekman. More information about the offerings and opening hours of the Theatre Café can be found at operaballet.nl/en/theatre-cafe Shop In the Main Stage foyer, you will find our shop where you can purchase a programme book or another beautiful memento of your visit to Dutch National Opera & Ballet. In the theatre We are delighted to provide you with information about what to expect in our theatre Photo: Kim Krijnen Card payments only To be able to serve you more quickly and securely, Dutch National Opera & Ballet operates on a card-only policy. Contactless and card payments can be made at the bar, shop and box office. Programme book Prior to performances on the Main Stage, you will receive the online programme book by e-mail, featuring interviews and background information. You can also view the online programme book in the theatre itself by scanning the QR code on one of the screens in the foyer with your phone. The printed programme book, which also features beautiful images, is available for purchase in the Main Stage foyer. For opera performances, you can also purchase a libretto, containing the original text and a Dutch translation. For some Studio Boekman performances, only online programme information may be available. 153
