Harvest New perspectives for the mature voice For the unique theatrical concert Harvest, singer and theatre maker Cora Burggraaf explores new roles and stories for seasoned singers. She believes that the mature voice deserves greater depth than the roles typically offered by the traditional opera repertoire. Together with six composers, including Calliope Tsoupaki and Rob Zuidam, she is developing a series of monodramas that provide new roles and perspectives. These monodramas will be performed by singers who draw on flourishing careers, life experience, and artistic strength. Harvest is a production by Spinthout and Cora Burggraaf and can be experienced at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam. Opera Europa Conference Since 1991, Opera Europa has been an important platform for collaboration, exchange, and development among hundreds of European opera houses. Each year, Opera Europa organizes several gatherings where professionals come together to share knowledge and strengthen connections within the international opera sector. This year, Opera Europa is coming to Amsterdam for its annual conference, held in the context of the OFF anniversary. It is a wonderful opportunity to share OFF’s rich programme with colleagues from around the world and to celebrate the festival’s 10th anniversary together. During the conference, multiple discussions and workshops for professionals will be organised, further strengthening the bond between the Dutch and international opera communities.
