House rules We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable at our theatre. To ensure this, we have a set of house rules and visitor conditions. You can find these at operaballet.nl/en/house-rules Accessibility Dutch National Opera & Ballet is for everyone. This includes providing gender-neutral toilets and doing our best to make performances accessible to all visitors. Visitors using a wheelchair Our theatre is fully equipped for visitors using wheelchairs. Facilities include a dedicated lift and adapted toilets. There are wheelchair spaces available at both Main Stage and Studio Boekman performances, with room for an attendant. Wheelchair spaces can be reserved by phone through our customer service team: +31 20 625 5455. Hearing-impaired visitors Visitors with hearing impairments can use a loop system for performances, on the Main Stage. When purchasing tickets, please note that the signal is not available in some areas. Visit operaballet.nl/en/accessibility to see exactly where the signal can be received in the space. There is no loop system in Studio Boekman. Cloakroom: free and compulsory Free attended cloakrooms are available for both the Main Stage and Studio Boekman. Here, you can leave your coat or bag (larger than A4 size). For safety reasons, these items cannot be taken into the theatre. Introduction Before each performance on the Main Stage, one of our experts will present an inspiring introduction, offering background information to enrich your theatre experience. The introduction begins 45 minutes before the performance and will take place in the Souterrain. Food and drinks During intervals, as well as before and after performances on the Main Stage, you can enjoy drinks and snacks at one of the bars in the foyer. You can also pre-order your drinks and snacks online at operaballet.nl/en/food-and-drinks. This way, you can skip the queues and help us reduce waste. We also invite you to visit our Theatre Café, located next to Studio Boekman. For more information about what’s available in the café and the opening hours, visit operaballet.nl/en/theatre-cafe Shop You’ll find our shop in the foyer near the Main Stage. Here, you can purchase programme books, libretti and other merchandise such as posters, fridge magnets and T-shirts. Online programme information If you’re attending a performance on the Main Stage, you will receive the online programme book by email beforehand.
