Getting there Sustainable travel No less than 22% of our total CO2 emissions results from the journeys visitors make to attend our performances. By choosing sustainable travel options, such as cycling or public transport, you help us reduce the CO2 footprint of our theatre. Public transport From Amsterdam Central or Amsterdam Amstel station, metro lines 51, 53, or 54 will take you to the Waterlooplein stop in just a few minutes. Tram 14 also stops right at the door, at the Waterlooplein stop. Car & parking Traffic around the theatre can be busy, and parking spaces are limited, making it time-consuming to find a parking spot. Therefore, we do not recommend traveling to our theatre by car. Park and ride (P+R) If you do decide to drive, we suggest using one of the seven P+R (park and ride) locations on the outskirts of the city, near the A10, A9, and A2 motorways. Here, you can park your car affordably and continue your journey to Dutch National Opera & Ballet by train, bus, tram or metro. Parking garages In the immediate vicinity of Dutch National Opera & Ballet, there is paid parking, such as in Parkeergarage Q-Park Waterlooplein. This parking garage allows you to reserve your parking space online in advance, and as a visitor to Dutch National Opera & Ballet, you can park at a reduced rate.
